What is the difference between an oral surgeon and a general dentist?+
Oral surgeons like Dr. Awadallah complete 4–6 additional years of hospital-based surgical training after dental school. Dr. Awadallah also holds a medical degree and fellowship training in reconstructive surgery, giving him advanced expertise in complex extractions, dental implants, pathology, trauma, and jaw surgery.
Will I be asleep during my procedure?+
It depends on the procedure and your comfort level. Dr. Awadallah offers a range of sedation options including local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, oral sedation, IV sedation, and general anesthesia. We'll discuss the best option for you during your consultation.
How long is recovery after oral surgery?+
