Denture Options We Offer

Complete Dentures
Replace all of the teeth on the upper and/or lower jaw. They rest comfortably on the gums that cover your jawbone and can be made more secure when attached to tooth roots or dental implants.

Partial Dentures
Replace only some missing teeth and attach to your remaining natural teeth with clasps or precision attachments. We'll help you choose the option that feels most comfortable and looks most natural.

Implant-Supported Dentures (Overdentures)
Connect to surgically placed dental implants for superior stability and comfort. Some can be removed by you at home; others are removed only during professional cleanings.

Conventional Overdentures
Rest on gum tissue and are also supported by attachment to one or more of your remaining tooth roots, offering added stability.

The Denture Process

Your treatment timeline will depend on your oral health, the number and location of missing teeth, and the type of denture you choose. The process typically includes:

• Impressions of your mouth to create a custom model for your denture
• Extractions if any unhealthy teeth need to be removed
• Implant surgery for patients choosing implant-supported dentures
• Adjustments to ensure the best fit and comfort once your dentures are placed

If you need extractions or implant surgery, we'll wait several weeks for your mouth to heal before placing your permanent dentures. In some cases, we can provide a temporary "immediate" denture to wear during the healing period.

What to Expect: Adjusting to Your Dentures

It takes a little time to get used to dentures, but soon you'll be eating, speaking, and smiling comfortably. Here's what's normal at first:

Feeling of Fullness
Your mouth, face, lips, and cheeks may feel full initially. This sensation subsides quickly.

Minor Speech Changes
You might notice slight differences in how words sound—though others will notice far less than you do. Speaking slowly and enunciating clearly helps your tongue and facial muscles adapt faster.

Adjusting to Chewing
It may take a few weeks to get used to the jaw movements needed for chewing with dentures. Start with small pieces of soft food, gradually work up to firmer foods, and chew on both sides of your mouth simultaneously using your back teeth. A small amount of denture adhesive can help stabilize your dentures while you adjust.
