Dental Inlays and Onlays
Conservative tooth restoration for mild to moderate decay or cracks. Custom-crafted inlays and onlays preserve more healthy tooth structure than crowns while lasting up to 30 years.

Examination & Preparation
We examine your tooth and prepare it for restoration, then take a precise impression to send to our dental lab.
Temporary Protection
We place a temporary inlay or onlay to protect your tooth while the lab crafts your custom restoration.
Final Placement
At your second visit, we remove the temporary material and bond your permanent, custom-crafted inlay or onlay into place.
How long do inlays and onlays last?+
With proper care and regular dental checkups, inlays and onlays can last up to 30 years—longer than any other type of filling. Their durability makes them an excellent long-term investment in your oral health.
What's the difference between an inlay, onlay, and crown?+
An inlay fits within the center of your tooth between the cusps. An onlay extends over one or more cusps. A crown covers the entire visible portion of the tooth. Inlays and onlays preserve more of your natural tooth structure than crowns, making them a more conservative option when appropriate.
Will my inlay or onlay look natural?+
Yes. We use tooth-colored materials like porcelain or composite resin that match your natural teeth. Unlike metal fillings, inlays and onlays are virtually invisible in your smile.
