How It's Done

The bonding procedure typically takes between 30 to 60 minutes to complete for each tooth. Here's what to expect:

First, we'll determine exactly what color shade your teeth are to select a resin that will blend naturally with your smile. Once this is done, we'll prepare the tooth so that the bonding material will adhere easily. This involves gently roughening the surface of the affected tooth and applying a liquid conditioner.

Once your tooth is prepared, we'll apply the resin and cure it in place using an ultraviolet light. Finally, we'll apply the finishing touches by carefully shaping and polishing the resin for a comfortable, natural-looking fit.

The entire process is comfortable, and most patients don't even need anesthesia unless we're repairing a decayed tooth.
